Free Week started in 2003 at the legendary Emo’s (at 6th and Red River St) as a way to keep the club’s lights on and staff working during the dead winter when business was historically slow. What started as a one-venue annual event grew into a movement, with venues from Austin to Nashville participating, with tens of thousands attending city-wide. Bowie Birthday Bash! | 9:00pm | Drinks Lounge
It’s our biggest party of the year as we gather the weekend before his birthday to celebrate the brilliance of David Bowie. DJ Sue will play Bowie on vinyl all night- 1964-1984 – all the glitz and glamor. Dress to impress and come early before the line starts! Goose Prints will be printing shirts on site & Vinyl Beauty Bar is setting up a Bowie makeup booth. $5 suggested donation at the door. 21 and up only. Funds raised will be donated to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.

Are you a cat lover looking to support a good cause? Join us at Inner Diva Studios in Austin, TX, for our heartwarming event: Kitten Yoga benefitting Austin Pets Alive! Our kitten yoga classes are already a fun and unique way to unwind, but this special event will also benefit the local animal shelter, Austin Pets Alive. All proceeds from the event will be donated to support their mission to rescue and find homes for homeless pets in the Austin area. Not only will you get to enjoy a fun and playful yoga class surrounded by adorable kittens, but you’ll also be making a difference in the lives of animals in need. Our certified yoga instructors will guide you through a gentle yoga practice that is suitable for all levels, while our furry friends roam around the studio, providing plenty of cuteness and cuddles.
