I was able to get my dear old Mum a vaccine appointment for later on this week and I am so relieved. Austin Public Health says that after their website went down yesterday, they will try to get folks appointments beginning tonight.

*For our first Wild Card this morning, we heard from Shaed. Got a new tune from the forthcoming album in my inbox so thought it appropriate to share “Part Time Psycho” featuring Two Feet.
*Texas Longhorns Women’s Basketball will make their 7th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championship Tournament, we learned last night. The 6-seeded Horns will play 11th seed Bradley on Monday the 22nd in the opening round. Watchable on ESPN 2.
*Since I was thinking about Mum’s vaccination appointment, and since I saw another woman I love, Shirley Manson, (granted, not as much as my Mum) getting her jab on Instagram this morning. I thought we should hear some old school Garbage this morning. Don’t be “paranoid” about getting your shot!
The Oscar Nods are in, as of yesterday, and so far, I’ve only seen one of the films nominated for Best Picture. This is more than the usual. Typically in the past I have seen zero of them! “The Sound of Metal” was very good IMO. Intense and quite sad at times, but very good none the less. Check out all the nominations and categories below. The Oscars go down on ABC on April 25th.
